Neutral running shoes are designed for runners who have a natural foot strike, meaning their feet do not excessively roll inward (overpronate) or outward (supinate) when they run. These shoes offer cushioning and support without added stability features that try to correct your gait.
We recommend coming into The Sports Room for accurate fitting of your new run shoe. At the shop, you can avail of our 3D foot scanner as well as sound advice. However, if you are at home and shopping online and unsure whether you should buy a neutral running shoe you could: (a) check if you have medium to high arches (you can do this by looking at the mark your foot leaves on the floor after a shower - if you can see the arch, you're likely neutral; (b) your old shoes are not excessively worn down on either side. If you have no injuries or gait issues and like a lightweight, natural feel, a neutral running shoe is a good choice.
