The Sports Room is a technical sports shop in Wicklow, dedicated to running, swimming, road biking, and mountain biking. We proudly stock top-quality brands and products. Our team is passionate about helping every customer—from complete beginners to elite athletes—find the right gear for their goals.

With a full-service bike workshop on-site, we also offer professional servicing and repairs, ensuring your equipment performs at its best.

More than just a store, The Sports Room is a community hub - a place where people come to share stories, connect with like-minded enthusiasts, and get trusted advice. Our shop is a little different from other sports shops. We love when people come in for the first time and we hear them say "wow! this is a cool space". We'd encourage customers to visit the store and “shop with their feet”, experiencing our products and trying them out firsthand.

The Sports Room was founded by husband-and-wife team Mark and Ciara Williams in 2014. We were fed up of the daily commute and saw an opportunity for a community sports shop in Wicklow Town. From day one, it’s been about more than just gear—it’s about helping people pursue the sports they love. Driven by old-fashioned customer service, our team is here to offer genuine support and expertise - building relationships that keep our customers coming back.

Mark is a passionate trail runner, and alongside our expert bike mechanic Enda Dunne - who’s been riding bikes since he could walk - they train regularly and live the lifestyle they support in-store. Ciara, equally committed to the outdoors, is a regular sea swimmer. Our entire team are keen athletes who actively run, swim, cycle, and take part in triathlons.
