How do I return my online order?
If you followed our sizing guides or contacted us for more details but would still like to return your order, you have 14 days to do so, from the date you receive your purchase. We do not offer any postage costs associated with returns. You can login to https://www.dpd.ie/returns/ select The Sports Room and download a label and bring it to your nearest DPD drop off location. Alternatively, you can return your item via An Post. We recommend DPD as we have negotiated a better price for you there for returns.
Restock charges
All online returns will be charged a 5% restocking fee. This is to cover original shipping costs and our transaction fees. This does not apply to exchanges but a €6 shipping fee will be applied for the shipping of the new item. If you'd like to exchange an item, please call us on 0404 62380 and we can bypass the restock fee for you.
Eligibility
Outside of the return period, exchange may be eligible on a discretionary basis. During the Christmas period, this is extended to 30 days to allow for gift exchanges. However, items bought over the Christmas period may only be exchanged for another product or for store credit. No cash refunds.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Please note that online returns will need to be sent to the following address: The Sports Room, Abbey Street, Wicklow Town, Co Wicklow A67 PP78.
If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. We do not cover the cost of shipping a return.
What to include when returning an item?
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. If you have the original packing slip, please include.
Remember to get ‘proof of posting’ as the item is your responsibility until it reaches us at the above address. You are required to pay for postage of returns unless they are faulty (as above).
You can also return an item to us directly at the shop.

Damages and issues
In the unlikely event that your purchase is faulty or your order is incorrect, please telephone us on 0404 62380 or email info@thesportsroom.ie. The Sports Room will refund any postage on damaged goods. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and start the warranty process if required. We may need to ask for photos of the fault, internal labels, description of issues etc.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as nutrition), custom products (such as special orders or personalised items), and personal care goods (such as chamois creams). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Refunds
You have 14 days to request a return on online sales and 7 days to return it once approved. A 21 day window applies for in-store purchases/returns. We will notify you once we’ve received and reviewed your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Sale items purchased in-store
Items purchased at a discount in-store may only be returned for store credit.
Can I return purchased items to the shop directly?
Yes you can! Within 21 days, simply bring your purchase and your receipt back to The Sports Room, Abbey Street, Wicklow Town and we can offer a refund to your account or you can exchange the item for something else.
