Recycle and buy sports clothes without costing the earth

Do you have any clothing, shoes, bikes or wetsuits that you bought at The Sports Room and are just not using anymore? We're hosting an event for Second Hand September in-store on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September 2025.

You can bring in an item that was purchased in our shop that you don't wear / use anymore and give it / sell it to someone who might. We'll manage the sale for you over the course of a chosen weekend in September. Any sold profits will be put on your account at The Sports Room as credit with 20% going to Wicklow Tidy Towns.

What is Second Hand September?

Second Hand September is a movement designed to encourage people to rethink their fashion habits and embrace second-hand shopping. The campaign also supports circular fashion, which aims to extend the life of garments, reduce textile waste, and lessen the industry’s environmental footprint.
