How often should I wash my dryrobe?

We recently put out a poll on our instagram stories asking customers if they washed their Dryrobe once a week, month or once a year?

I’m very happy to report that most of you responded with the correct answer - once a year!

You shouldn’t need to wash your Dryrobe Advance very often. In fact, the less you wash it the better, as it preserves the waterproof properties of the outer layer. After a swim, simply hang it up and dry it at room temperature or on the line in the summer. If you keep your Dryrobe in the car and throw it on after a muddy trail run, just take a damp cloth to the outer material to wipe down any stains. Dryrobe recommends washing your robe at a gentle cycle, max 30 degrees and DO NOT tumble dry. Hang it on the line or dry flat on a clothes horse.

You could use Nikwax Tech Wash to wash your Advanced Robe. And you could even use the re-waterproofer if you’ve had your Dryrobe for years, like me! You’ll know if you need it, if the water is not beading off any more. The good news is that the DWR finish (Durable Water Repellant finish) on your Dryrobe is eco-friendly PFC free.

Dryrobe Towels and Full Zip Towels can be washed more regularly, as often as you would normally wash a towel you bring to the pool as the chlorine affects the fabric.
