The Saucony Endorphin Azura is the newest addition to the Endorphin range and it fills a really nice gap in the lineup.
Think of it as a fast daily trainer - ideal for everyday runs when you want to tick off your quicker miles without reaching for a plated shoe every time.
Priced at €160, the Azura is a non-plated speed shoe, which sets it apart from its close relative, the Endorphin Speed. Instead of a TPU/nylon plate, the Azura relies purely on foam geometry and ride - making it a bit more forgiving and easier to live with day to day.
Stack & drop: 40mm in the heel, 32mm in the forefoot (8mm drop)
Fit: True to size, with plenty of room - comfortable without feeling sloppy
Grip: Saucony’s usual reliable outsole traction
Weight: Only about 3g heavier than the Speed
Foam: Same foam and cushioning as the Endorphin Speed 5
At €160, it’s also €40 cheaper than the Speed, which makes it a really appealing option if you want performance without the premium price tag.
When we tested the Azura, the first thing that stood out was the fit and upper. It feels light on the foot, breathable and well locked-in. Underfoot, it’s responsive and stable, without feeling overly stiff or aggressive.
Because there’s no plate, the ride feels a bit more natural and relaxed, especially for daily use. You still get that “Endorphin” pop, just in a way that’s easier to manage across more runs in the week.
The Endorphin Azura is a great choice if:
You want your first speed-focused shoe
You like Saucony and want something for faster training days
You don’t love plated shoes but still want a lightweight, responsive feel
For comparison, it sits in a similar space to shoes like the adidas Evo SL or the New Balance Rebel - fast, fun and versatile without being overbuilt.
The Saucony Endorphin Azura is a smart, well-priced addition to the Endorphin family. It’s light, responsive, stable and easy to run in, making it a brilliant option for everyday faster running.
If you’re curious how it compares to the Speed or want to see if it’s right for you, pop into The Sports Room and we’ll happily talk you through it and get you fitted properly.
